Plaza del Sol is conveniently located on U.S. 90 & 277 at Chevrolet Drive, three miles from the U.S. - Mexican border, 150-miles west of San Antonio, Texas. A short 15-minute drive takes you to the pristine Amistad National Reservoir which hosts over one-million visitors per year. Del Rio & Plaza del Sol Mall are also the proud home of Laughlin Air Force Base, a pilot-training facility under Air Training Command. Plaza del Sol is anchored by JCPenney, Bealls, Ross Dress for Less, Movies 8 and Bel Furniture. Ross opened this past July while JCPenney expanded and relocated in August of 2004. You can watch a first-run movie before 6pm for $2.50 and after 6pm for only $4.50! IHOP opened March of this year in the Plaza del Sol Mall complex and new peripheral property is being made available for future development.
