Columbia Center Mall is a shopping mall located in northwestern Kennewick, Washington, owned by Simon Property Group. It is the largest mall in southeastern Washington, and regularly draws visitors from as far away as La Grande, Oregon.
The mall, which opened in October of 1968, is accessible off of Columbia Center Boulevard, the most-traveled north-south street in all of Kennewick (besides perhaps Highway 395).History
Since its grand opening in 1969, Columbia Center has undergone two major renovations. In 1988, the expansion opened anchors Sears and Lamonts (now Macy's Mens and Children's). The second in 1997 brought Barnes and Noble, Old Navy, plus a renovated eight screen Regal Cinemas (Columbia Center 8).
Since May of 2006, the mall has been undergoing another expansion, and facelift. New additions to the mall include redesigned restrooms, a Simon Kidgits Korner, Kitty Kruzzers, and soft seating by Kennewick General Hospital. With a two brand-new "lifestyle" buildings erected in the front of the mall, new stores have since opened, including: Ann Taylor Loft, Lids, Starbucks, Verizon Wireless, Coldwater Creek, Talbots, and more. P.F. Chang's China Bistro and Famous Dave's restaurants will be built on the Gage Boulevard side of the property, with the old Columbia Center Cinemas being demolished to make more room. American Eagle, Zumiez, Champs Sports, Bath and Body Works, Hot Topic and JCPenney have all undergone major renovations.Anchors
