The Moorestown Mall is a shopping mall in Moorestown, New Jersey, owned by Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust. Originally opened for business in 1963, Moorestown Mall underwent a partial renovation in 1986 and was totally renovated in 1993 and 1994 after a fire in the northeast quarter of the building.

Prior to Rouse Co.'s purchase of the mall in December 1997, The May Co. had committed to build an upscale Lord & Taylor store, with a new Strawbridge's as anchors to the mall. In addition a Guess (clothing) store joined the mall, as an upscale retailer.

Nordstrom considered opening a store in Southern NJ also, but they did not commit to the mall's expansion plans.

In an attempt to protect the Cherry Hill Mall, a mere 3 miles away, the Rouse Co. acquired the Moorestown Mall. Pennsylvania Real Estate Investment Trust acquired the Cherry Hill Mall, Echelon Mall, Moorestown Mall, Exton Square, Plymouth Meeting Mall, and Gallery at Market East on March 7, 2003.

Since focus by PREIT management has been targeted at keeping Cherry Hill Mall successful, Moorestown Mall's growth as a competitive and upscale center has been blunted.

The Moorestown Mall lies only 3 miles away from the Cherry Hill Mall which is undergoing major expansions to accommodate high end stores, but the mall is now undergoing a renovation of its own. As of late, the mall has accumulated a couple of minor, although noticeable vacancies. That is expected to change, however, when the side of the mall facing Route 38 is expected to get a more "Village"-like appearance due to the addition of stores along the exterior. Also, two new restaurants are planned to accompany the new renovation. A larger redevelopment is expected to be announced sometime in the future.

Activity on the northeast corner of the mall will yield a new Pei Wei Asian Diner, along with another quick dining option, to open in summer 2008.
